Have you patched Vista since you loaded? I use Home Premium and have installed Service Pack 1 and my FH works fine?

Are you logged on as the same user?

Can you run FH without opening any file first? Maybe the ged file is corrupt and it isn't a Vista problem?

Try running the program with admin rights, also which version of FH are you using and where, which directory, do you store your gedcom file?

thanks for the advice... I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall from version 2 cd and version 3 upgrades... not working, so I have ordered a fresh new version 3 copy. my gedcom file is fine.

thanks again

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which was used in previous versions of Windows and it is not supported in Windows Vista.

also the above message appeared when I tried to use the help files...[cry]

Have you downloaded and installed the update to version 3.1.2?
