can someone tell me how to print lists.

Jeremy,
Lists are printed as a 'list report'. Go to 'reports', then 'more reports' then 'list report' then select the required list and print that in the usual way.

....except that it prints just the name and year dates birth/death, and ID. I expected it to print the extra columns shown in the list - how can I achieve this?

The list report prints the note from the list.

The other way is to build a query including all the people in the list with what ever columns you want.
