Hi
Just wondered how people record details of how peoples names are given in various records. For example, my great x2 grandmother was called Emma Eliza Jane Wills on her birth certificate - but her middle names change a lot during the course of her lifetime and I'm not sure what the best way of recording this would be.
any hints would be great!

I will move it for you.
You have a couple of options for the names, FH supports Given Name used which can hold what she was normally known as.
You can also if you use the All tab or direct in the records window add multiple name records with different sources.
So for instance
Alan Herbert /Mullins/
Alan Harry Herbert /Mullins/
Alan Herbert Harry /Mullins/
and even
Alan Herbert Harry /Smith/
Simply right click on the Individual Record and select Name.
