Can anyone make out the first one here.
It's a Placename/County from the 1911 Irish Census. The second one is Co Waterford, but I can't make sense of the first one.
If I have the right person, family rumour says he should be from Limerick.
ID:2813

It is Kings County. It is now called Offaly. (After independence the Irish couldn't possibly have a county called Kings County!)

Thanks, I suspect this the the correct person, family history is a bit weak as he died in 1935 when his one remaining daughter was 8.
I do wish the Irish were as far advanced with GRO access as the UK, it would at least mean I could get a bit further with my Husbands Irish Ancestry.

I found this site the other day. It may be of use. All my Irish people come from Clare which hasn't been done yet so I can't say how good it is. I think it might be like an Irish Scotland's People.

Thanks John, just checking it out. Not found them yet, but Offaly is not done either, but a site well worth keeping an eye one.
