If all the people only exist once simply delete the family using the Family Tab on the Record Window. You may need to select it from the View menu.

Re: Branch Merge
Thanks. I tried your suggestion and (unsurprisngly) the family was deleted from the database. The problem is that the merge of the two brances is successful on the record list and only shows one family on the family tab. But the branch is then duplicated on the 'view all relatives' diagram. I cannot delete one of the dupicate branches in that view. By the way, an 'undo' button would be handy and save me having to restore from backup each time! Is ther one, somewhere?
Kind regards,
Keith

Re: Branch Merge
If possible could you send a copy of the offending data so I can check it and send it on to Calico if I can not see the problem.
You can use the split tree function to just send a small section if you like.

Re: Branch Merge
If I am reading it right you have cousins marrying.
FH does then show branches repeating on the All relations diagram. The easiest way to handle this is to turn of on of the branches using the little circles on the lines and for printing add a title box pointing your viewer in the right direction.
There has been quite a lot of discussion about this and there is a wish list item to make this sort of duplication more obvious.
I have a similar problem in my husbands family. His fathers brother married his mothers sister, so I get a whole descendant branch replicated.
I do not think there is anything wrong with the file as the rest looks ok.

Thanks. You are right. I hadn't appreciated that it was how the software shows the 'duplicate' relationships. I look forward to the patch!
Thnks once again for the very prompt advice.
Best wishes,
Keith
