I want to have multiple marriages being listed in the diagram boxes, but the line should only appear if there's a second marriage.
Marr.:%FAM.MARR.DATE:ABBREV3% %FAM.MARR.PLAC:SHORT% mit =AgeAt(%INDI%,%INDI.FAMS>MARR.DATE%) Yrs.
now I already worked out that I should better use
&INDI.FAMS.MARR against FAM.MARR since that allows to work with individuals, but I still got no clue on how to prevent getting the second line being printed if there's no second marriage.
I tried with
%INDI.FAMS[2].MARR with no luck
any idea ?

The line should not appear if the content is blank. Check the tick box which controls this.

I know I could tick that but the problem I run into is that some other persons now do get 2 lines indicating the very same marriage.
What I didn't get yet, is the following.
If one did marry 2 times.
Will I need to use
%INDI.FAMS[1].MARR[1] for the first and
%INDI.FAMS[2].MARR[2] for the second ?
or will if always be MARR[1] since it's first marriage per each FAMily ?
Pretty strange, all I tried seems to go wrong, but I'm pretty sure it must work.
Same applies to the last section of my line where it says
=AgeAt(%INDI%,%INDI.FAMS>MARR.DATE%) Yrs.
I'm also unsure here if I must define the number [] at the FAMS or at the MARR.

Obviously you want to pick up the second family as spouse so its the FAMS which needs the second number, remember though there are special cases on diagrams as they are designed to show marriages via the diagram so the FAM record as you have discovered is location sensitive.
I just tested it and it works fine for me.
Make sure you have set the line to show for all boxes and conditions.

Thanks Jane, this information helps a lot. I'll have another try, while I got stuck with another I don't get.
For reseach purpuses I added the following lines to my boxes which works fine.
Source: %INDI.SOUR[1+]>ABBR% %INDI.SOUR[1+].PAGE%
with 'start on new line' set.
This gives me a list of sources line by line incl. the 'Where within source' info.
Now I wanted to also see the 'Note' so I added
%INDI.SOUR[1+].NOTE2%
with 'start on new line' and 'group with previous line' set.
Unfortunately this only works for the very first outputted source. If source 3 got a note, it's not shown at all. It always shows the note from source 1.
I tried with
%INDI.SOUR[1+].NOTE2[1+]% but that won't make a difference.
any idea on that one ?
