Individual Summary Report

Post by Sylvia5401 » 04 Dec 2007 22:14

Hello, I have got FH2.3.5.  When I print an individual summary report I find that the ages under the marriage section, including those of census, do not show an exact age but might say 51-52, whereas I had typed in 51.  This does not happen when there is a linked gedcom census. The ages are as typed under individual events.  How can I obtain a precise age on the report?

Individual Summary Report

Do you mean you have family level census events ? These can not have ages attached so I presume FH is computing them.

Ages on Marriage events which have support for spouse ages, should show correctly.

Pick one of the marriages where the age at marriage is showing as an age range and note which individual this age is referring to.

Now look at the properties for that person and view the details of the marriage and make sure the age is filled in. The fact that the report is showing a range of dates suggests that the 'age' field hasn't been filled in.

You can see that the age for Alfred Hough at marriage has been filled in as being 21.

Thank you for your replies.  When it comes to the census ages I will make a comment under notes if different from the calculated age.  As John Gasson suggested I can turn off the estimated age when printing the reports.  The marriage age section is also much clearer to me, thanks again.
