This is just a general question to get other views on the subject.

When you want to display a picture of a member of your family, and you have several taken at different stages in their lives, which one is the best to use? Do you use the best quality one, the last one that was taken, the one you remember them by or some other criteria?

I know that you can display as many pictures as you want but my question really relates to where you just want one.

Where possible I use a wedding picture. It then means most of the people are of a similar age.

Obviously as you go back in time only later photos are available and new members of the family will not have married. For Children I use the most recent photo I have.
