Data not updating

Help again please!

I originally input someone's name as 'Annie ???' as I didn't know their surname. When I found the surname (Booth) I updated the record and the name now appears correctly - except that when I export the GEDCOM for the purpose of producing a report with another program - the surname still appears as ???.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.

Further to my earlier post - when I expand the entry for Alice Booth in the 'Individual Records' Window the following is displayed:-
Name: Alice /Booth/
Given: Alice
Surname: ???

Could anyone explain why the Surname isn't shown as Booth as per 'Name'?

If you select the surname field and delete it all will be fine. FH does not normally create surname fields. If will pick up the surname just fine from between the // as should the program it came from.
