After entering information I would like it to appear in alphabetical order. Instead it appears at the bottom of the whole list. I have to save and exit FH and then re open. How can I achieve this. I have FH Version 2.3.5. I am new to the FHUG and my apologies if this question has been answered before.

Can you explain where it is appearing at the bottom. Is it on the records window?

In version 3 you just click on the column heading to re-order the display, I don't know if 2 works the same way

Any new entry appears at the bottom of the list in the Records Window. To make the new entry appear in it's correct alphabetical position in the Records Window I have to first save and then exit. Then re-open F.H. the new entry then is in it's correct position ie 'Smith' new entry with existing 'Smith' records.

If you click on the Name Column header FH will resort any new entries to the correct position. I suspect the reason it does not do this immediately is that it's allowing you to edit the record with out the data jumping around.
