Hi, I'm trying to add Age at Death in my diagrams, but this seems only to work when a specific date of birth exists. Where I only have a date of baptism I have added birth events with date Bef. 'date of baptism'. FH is happy to estimate ages in the events tab based on this, but seems to ignore it in diagrams.

Age at death in diagrams
I presume you are using the :AGE_AT extension to the death date event, this is based on an existing birth date.
You will probably need to nest a few functions, to get the answer you need.
To use estimated dates you will need to use the function =EstimatedDeathDate()or EstimatedBirthDate.

Thanks for your reply, Jane. It has made me 'bite the bullet' and have a proper look at functions. After much trial and error, and even resorting to the manual, I've finally got what I wanted!
If anybody else is interested, this is my code:
d. %INDI.DEAT.DATE:ABBREV3% =ExistsText(%INDI.DEAT.PLAC%,'in') %INDI.DEAT.PLAC:TIDY% (=ExistsText(%INDI.DEAT%,EstimatedAgeAt(%INDI%,EstimatedDeathDate(%INDI%,MID,2),AVG,2))y)
