Text from online help....
The No-offspring marker is used if you want a line to be drawn below individuals who had no children. If you enable this option, the line will be displayed under the spouse box for an individual if the individual had no recorded children by that spouse, and either the Indivdual or his spouse's Count of Children field is set to 0; or the Count of Children for the couple's family record is set to 0.

With Individuals, the Count of Children field is set on the Detail tab of the Property Dialog.

Click the Options button to configure the options for this feature such as line colour, thickness and offset. You can also specify whether you want the line to appear under Individuals with no spouses, as well as no children.

The no-offspring marker option is only applied when spouses are display[ed] in their own boxes - see Spouse Display Options above.
You can set a zero value even if they do have children, the line isn't displayed in this situation, but a bit confusing.

So you could do one of two things. Set the field to zero for everyone and the line will be displayed for those couples with no children or only set it to zero for those couples you know for definite didn't have children. Depends on how you do your research.
