I entered a census as a source record against an individual but it appeared under 'Name' in the 'Sources For' drop down box. How do I add Census to this drop down box please?

I am not quite sure what you mean, which drop down box?


To enter a census you would normally create the source then add Census and Occupation events and perhaps a Birth Event to the person.

Or use GedCom Census which will do all this for you.

To the right of the individual record box,in the sources box, there is a drop down menu at the top giving name,birth, death etc.
I had entered a census record for 1901 but the entry would only show in the source box underneath when the drop down menu was on name. There was no title for census in the drop down menu.
I have resolved the problem by deleting the source and re-entering it using GedCom Census.
I was hoping to be able to enter a census title in the drop down menu manually.

Items in the drop down appear once an event exists, I suspect you may not have had the event entered or that you had more than one census event in the drop down and selected the wrong one.

As you can see below the drop down contains all the events currently entered.
