Whenever I click on Getting Started, Family Historian Help or Help with Current View, I get the message - Action Cancelled. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have overcome the problem by re-installing Windows.

That was drastic!

Did you have to reinstall Windows for another reason?

I was wondering if just the F.H. help file had become corrupted and you may have just needed to reinstall that.

It was more likely to be a problem with the windows help engine, which FH uses, I am guessing David was having problems with the help on more than just FH

Yes, of course, Jane.

It's just he only mentions F.H.

But it is certainly something for others to keep in mind.

This is an Internet Explorer Problem where Your security settings are probably preventing the help topics from displaying.

All you need to do if this happens is:-

navigate to the folder where the help file is installed, typically C:Program FilesFamily HistorianProgram. right click on the file fh.chm, select properties, and then click unblock.

This should cure this problem.

Hope this helps
