It'd be great to have a shortcut key/key combination that is equivalent to clicking the '>' would be equally handy.
As a user of Internet Explorer and Firefox (and because you mention IE in the manual when discussing these buttons) I'd vote for Alt+Left Arrow for Go Back and Alt+Right Arrow to Go Forward.
