I seem to remember the subject of family records on PDA's being raised several times. Family Historian will of course not run on a PDA's.
A recent review of PDA software can be  at http://www.palmsource.com/interests/genealogy/
and there are many other reviews to be found.
I personally use GedStar Pro on a Palm.

If you have a MS based PDA one of the best options is Pocket Genealogist which works well with FH.

Just an update on the URL for Palm software. It's now http://palmsource.palmgear.com/
Genealogy is a subcategory of Hobbies & Entertainment (no comment)

An option i've used a couple of times with my WM5 mobile phone is to remote desktop to my home pc that is running FH

Only possible if you have a cellular data connection or wifi

The screens a bit small and fiddly though!
