Can anybody give me some advice about the best way to research chelsea pensioners? Are the National Archives the only place that keep records?

The Royal Chelsea Hospital itself has an archive, but it doesn't seem to be online...there's an email form on the website though, http://www.chelsea-pensioners.co.uk, which you can fill in asking for information. My long-lost cousin did that to find out about our mutual gg-grandfather.
