I have just purchased FH as a replacement for Generations which has served me well for a number of years but is now looking a little jaded and is not supported very well under XP.
After spending a little while using the tutorials and working through the manuals I am VERY impressed by the wide range of facilities and the way they are implemented.
I am looking forward to seeing how it works under volume as I convert my (fairly) large files (around) 4000 people to date.
A couple of observations from my initial use, all fairly trivial and largely documentation.
1. It would be nice to be able to sort columns in the reverse directions by a second click on the header as Windows Explorer does.
2. There is an inconsistency in the naming of a field in the Source Records. On all screens except one I have come across so far, there is a field called Custom Id. On the New Source Record screen which is reached when adding a new citation from the add citation link in the sources pane of the property dialogue, the field is identified as Ref.
3. Approximate dates show as e.g 1935(app) not 1935 (approx) as stated in the manual.
4. The tab order does not appear to work on some dialogues when you get into (I think) a large note field e.g the note field at the bottom of the events tab on the individual property dialogue. Pressing tab or shift-tab has no effect. In all other circumstances I have come across so far, the tab/shift-tab works as you would expect.
As I said all trivial and in no way detracting from what looks like an excellent product

Initial Observations
Welcome. The first of your requests is on the Wish list.
I am glad you are enjoying FH. If you are coming over from Generation and have any problems with the files you can find a couple of helper programs off the GEDCOM links on this site.
