* Census amp; the Army

Does anyone know if serving members of the army appeared on any of the currently available census?

I am looking to find someone on the 1881 and/or 1891 census. I know that he was definately alive in 1882 but I cannot find him on the 1881 census.

I think only Army members in the UK at the time of the census are listed. If you know details for Army Service, you can use http://www.regiments.org
to check for postings.
