This all seems like its jiberish to me. I am new to looking up things about family history and dont have a whole lot to go on. What should i do or what can i read that will help me understand sites ?

This site is not aimed at Family History research, rather at the use of the Software program Family Historian, if you are just starting click on the link to Cyndi's list on the left and take a look at the Newbies section, I am sure that will get you started.
