* Gap in Record ID for Individuals

I must have deleted a record at some stage leaving a gap of one record ID in my individual records list. That is, mt records go, 12,13,15,16. A pedantic question I know but can you reallocate an individual to use that missing ID number?

You can, you need to copy the current ID's to custom ones, edit the one you want to fill the gap to the gap number and copy the numbers back, using the Record Identifiers tool.

Personally I don't do this, especially as I share and merge data fairly often and the people from the merged file retain their old numbers if there is no clash. So I have holes.
