Multiple File Opening

Post by Layor » 15 Jul 2006 18:11

I don't know if it is just me, but....
I thought that before I upgraded to V.3 that I was able to open more that one Gedcom file and switch between them without having to go to the 'File' tab and re-open them. Am I doing something wrong????[confused]
Ooops!
Just seen the 'V.3 Usage' Should have posted there!

You can have more than one instance of Family Historian running at the same time and therefore you can switch between the files.

Thanks for that Nick. I just thought that it would be easier if you could minimise the file you are working on and open another and then switch between them on the task bar, as you can with, say, Word files etc.
Well, whatever, then new update (V.3) certainly has some improvements in it.

V2 never allowed you to open 2 files in a single instance, so I assume you must have opened two copies of the program.
