* Step mother/daughter query

When an ancestor of mine married in 1894, she also adopted his 6 year old daughter - his first wife died 2 years previously. As far as I can tell, there was no formal adoption, so how should I enter this into FH and how do I indicate this step mother/daughter relationship on reports and diagrams?

As a second marriage entering the child against the spouses first family should be enough, if you want to show the child as a member of the second family as well simply add another family as child to them, using the relationship option to show the state.
