I am new to Family Historian. Having used Legacy upto now which I findvery good except for producing Trees.
I have imported a gedcom created in Legacy.
In the individual rcord on the All tab I have a linked file to a census record in jpg format.
Is it not possible to click on this link to view the file?
It appears all you can do is find the file but then have to use other means such as explorer outside of Family Historian to open the File.
Am I missing something, because I would like to move to using this software all the time but I find this a shortcoming
Other than this its a great product
Hope you can help

Opening Linked files
Hi Dave,
There are a number of ways to view the file. The easist from the all tab, is to expand the entrys until you see the 'multimedia' link, and then double click the heading and this will bring up the multimedia properties. if you then click on the button with the red triangle, you will jump to the multimedia object list, and then you can click on the camera icon which will show the image.

Just as an extra note, my personal preference is to link census pages to sources rather than events, but its up to you which way you do it.
