Cause of death - 'Dentition Fits'

Hi,

I relative of mine died around 1850 at a few months old (I'm at work & don't have the certificate with me).

However the cause of death is shown as 'Dentition Fits'. I have searched and asked around but cannot find what this means. Cannot find any mention in the online medical references.

Can anybody help
Thanks
Alan

Only thing I can think of is teething infections or perhaps Tetanus?

Dentition is actually cutting (eruption) of the teeth, so probably had fits when teething, very sad.
