Hi! Everyone yet another new member. I’ve tried the rest, and after several visits to your cool user group, I thought I’d buy the best. Many thanks to, Simon for an excellent product, also to Amin and all members. I look forward to being a part of your new family[cool]

Thank you Jane for your kind welcome. I look forward to participating, as soon as I can tear myself away from getting to grips with Family Historian.

Over the years I have purchased many different software products, but none have offered the  level of feedback to the program developer that this forum appears to provide. For me this is the “icing on the cake”. I look forward to seeing both Family Historian and this group reach their full potential.

PS sorry about the spelling mistake in my intro. My wife laughed and said she will buy me a spell checker for Christmas.

Hello there!
And I'm another newbie. I moved to the Family Historian programme after using Sierras Generations. I was having awful problems with it & XP - loads of lost data & links etc. I opened my GED in Family Historian & Bingo! all up and ready to run again. Just a few anomolies to sort & those addresses that don't transfer somehow. But you get a text file of all this so it won't take years to rectify. I did think I would have to enter all 430 entries I have so far all over again - thank heavens I did not need to do that[smile]
Look forward to reading & posting more on this forum,
Sandra

It's a self-portrait which I laughingly call my 'Ernest Hemmingway' look! My wife calles it 'your d****d beard needs trimming' look!
A reasonably successful visit to Shrewsbury Archives last week resulted in a bit of new information and confirmed other bits about my family.
I've ordered the 1891 Cencus CDs today for Shropshire & Montgomeryshire - cheaper than another few nights B&B!!!!!
