Those of you with an Ancestry subscription will be interested to hear that the 1841 census has appeared on the Ancestry.co.uk website this evening.

I've logged on and can't see it as one of the Census options. The banner still indicates that the 1851 is the 'new' addition.
Can you post a link to the screen you are looking at?

I was at another site yesterday that offered me the option to search the 1841 census. It sent me to Ancestry.com but when I tried to look at the search results it wouldn't let me.
So maybe they aren't entirely ready yet.

Go to ancestry home page, go to recently added databases and you will see 1841 England and also Wales

Sadly, i see the indexing is up to Ancestry's usual standard. 294 Pasks on the database, excluding 5 of the 6 i know about from other CD sources. [frown]
