The 'override text' in diagrams was a very useful facility and I suspect was being used in many ways that Simon may not have envisioned. Its re-instatement would give us back a flexibility which has been lost.

I second this request! I've just spent ages trying to find out how to override text in V3 - obviously it can no longer be done.

This isn't a feature I use (I don't use diagrams very often) but I remembered it was discussed in the past: I have no idea if either of these two discussions will help but in case you haven't seen them...
