Hi gang,

Does any one (including Simon or Jane) know when we can expect 2.2?

If so, could they spill the beans please?

Most software houses take the view that it is a mistake to give out dates for releases, that it causes more problems than it solves.  This is our view too (and our experience I would add).  I do appreciate that this can be frustrating for users though.  I can say that the intention had  been that 2.2 would be released before now if that helps.

Incidentally, in case anyone is in any doubt about this, I can confirm that 2.2 will be a free upgrade for existing users, downloadable from the Internet, as 2.1 was.  Potential purchasers are not advised to wait for 2.2 incidentally, because, for logistical reasons, there are currently no plans to release 2.2 for sale directly.  So users who want 2.2, even after it is released, will still have to buy 2.1 and upgrade.
