Ages on Individual Summary Rpt

Post by pds » 13 Feb 2006 14:22

When creating an Individual Summary Report, is there any way to suppress ages on attributes (like Occupation/Residence) without affecting the events? There is a check box in the Report Options which allows 'Ages with events' but this seems to be a global switch for both events & attributes.

Also, when I have a census event where the age of the person is 6 months, the Individual Summary report prints the age as 0(!) Is there something I've missed setting on the event?

I don't think you can, other than the switch you have already used.
Do you have the census date in properly or only just the year?

Hi Jane,

Ok thanks, I'll just switch them all off.

Yes I have the Census date in full.. 30 March 1851

Birth is 7 September 1850, Age in the Census event is 6mns

I'm using version 2.3.5

Hi,
I have been getting this as well, and put it down to the fact that on the reports it only shows age in years (even if you enter a number of months in the age field). So 6mn is actually 0 years & 6mns, so displays 0 years.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Thanks for that Jane, I thought it may have been something I was entering incorrectly.

Hi Richard: I wasn't expecting 6mnths to appear on the report, I was worried that I was getting an exclaimation mark next to the age, i.e. (age 0(!)) indicating an incorrect census date in respect to the birth date.
