Finding tops of families

Post by moondog » 09 Feb 2006 20:43

I am using FH for a One Name Study, so have many different families in different states of completeness.
I would like to identify the 'top' of each family - that is where there are no parents linked, and where the name is that of the Study (to eliminate spouse families, unrelated individuals, etc.). Is there some way to do this please?

That is a fairly easy query.
Just add all where the surname is correct and exclude were the patent family is not null.

This one should do it.
To see all top of families just remove the surname selection from the Rows
