In the narrative report, is there any way of getting rid of the irritating text '...had the following children with the same father'. Often the father is not recorded because his name is not known. If there's just one child the text is simply spurious. If there's more than one it's misleading... I have in fact no idea whether the two or more illigitimate children had the same father, and it would be even more absurd to record them as children of multiple families.

Well, I will (of course) be buying version 3 soon, so if it's fixed in that, don't worry about it. If not, is it on a wish list? I use the narrative report as the main way of sharing information with family members, and have often been complemented on the layout with a few niggly exceptions, this being one. The other that springs to mind is descendents of married cousins appearing twice, which I believe from this forum has been addressed, is that right?

A friend of mine has just emailed me about exactly the same thing. So I would add my vote to the wishlist.

I'm a little confused about the wish list system... how do I know if this is on it? How do I add it?, How do I vote for it?

Thanks, Chris

There is an option on the menu at top left of this page to 'Search the Wish List'. Then search for likely keywords. I've just searched for 'illegitimate' and 'father' and not come up with this exact request, but there is a related one regarding the relationship field.

Once you view a request, there are buttons to vote for and against that wish.
