Deaths

Post by vliet » 11 Jan 2006 10:31

Hi All
My memory is slacking but I can't remember if, on the BMD fiche at the library (for example) is a person's age at death recorded? If so, what year did it start? I know that a mother's maiden name appeared on the Birth fiche records about 1909 or around there.

From a rough search on FreeBMD, http://freebmd.rootsweb.com, age at death appears to have been included from 1866 onwards. At a later date in the 20th century this becomes date of birth instead.
