I have 1500+ individual records(and growing!)on EXCEL which I am transferring to F.H. I find the EXCEL 'data sort' very useful when matching up people to people or places. Is there any way that the F.H. records window can be 'sorted' in a similar way?( If it is in the Manual a page reference will suffice.)

For basic sorting just click on the records window headers, alt click to sort the other way.
The best way to do sorts is to use the queries, there is a How to for a basic query in the Links section and more information in the Manual in the Queries section. From queries you can also save the information and load back in to excel for more advanced pivot type style analysis.
