Are the BBC being honest ?

I saw the 'Who Do You Think You Are Family Tree Maker Deluxe' in my local PC World the other day and at first thought it may be some early version of the new Family Historian as that was the software used by the researchers on the series. I wonder if it's almost dishonest of the BBC when one set of software was used during the making of the series to allow another one to use the branding of the series? Just a thought.

In case you haven't seen it here is what I'm talking about

I suspect the owners of Family Tree Maker (FTM) asked the BBC is they could use the series name and logo on their product.  It's not really dishonest of the BBC, it's just marketing by FTM.

Yes your right it's their trade mark to do what they like with, honesty is the wrong word but it just seems odd to me that the team making the program use one tool that presumable they chose believing to be the best in the market and then they badge a different one. Presumably the BBC got a fair sized fee or percentage from it and with the new series due next month it will be a slice of a much bigger pie again.
