I have all my data in one big list.  This is fine for general use, but now I want to make a Gedcom of (say) a person's ancestors, or descendants, so that it can be 'Gedmilled' and made into a set of web pages.  I have tried making a diagram of such a tree and saving it - but it saves as the whole list of data, not just the bit I want.  Help !

You simply need to make another copy of your file and use the split tree helper.

You will find an animated tutorial in the links/how to section of this site.

I am covered with embarrassment !
Many thanks.
Um - pressing the red 'Go' button for a re-run did not work for me (using Opera Browser) so I just did it again from 'Links'.
Now I shall have to go and try it.
