I do not use these data types since all of my family are plain English - dead boring! However, since they can be edited through 'Work with data' I was wondering if I could change the description and use them for something else e.g. Military service and keep a list of ranks, battallions etc. At present they are all custom events. Is this possible?

Although you could, currently you can not edit the sentance construction, so any narrative or other reports would have the wrong sentance/title. Also I wouldn't as if you share data with someone who uses the Caste data fields as intended it would probably cause them problems.
