I have been using Custom ID on multimedia objects to define the type, for example photos are church, town or people (it helps me sort them out.

I have a batch of photos to import and they are all of the same type, I wondered if there was a way to set it up so the Custom ID is already completed instead of going through them one at a time (something like the way Automatic Source citation works)

What I would do is import them all, then set the custom Id you want and copy and paste in on to all the records is much quicker than typing it each time.

When I went through and did all my source types I added the source type as a column and then set copied the type for the first record and then just cursored down the rest, hitting CTRL-v on each record to add the source type.
