Could some clever person write me query that calculates 'average age at death' - preferably of male ancestors on the paternal line? Some programs do this, but I can't see a way in Family Historian.
Many thanks,
Geoff.

Average age at death
Can not do the average directly, but I have added a query to the Query Store which extracts the male line from a start person.
You could then save the data as a CSV file and load into excel or another spreadsheet if you wanted to. It will only extract the first 8 generations so you will need to repeat the selection lines a few more times if you need to.

Jane,
Many thanks for such a quick response, and help with the query.
I've only had Family Historian for two days, and am already extremely impressed at its capabilities. The support you offer on this board is second to none! Now, back to reading that excellent manual.......!
