Is there a limit?

Post by Christine » 06 Oct 2005 10:29

I currently have a master tree, which I then split into smaller family groups. On my master tree, I currently have over 4000 individuals, numerous multimedia links and a few hundred certificates which each have their own source. I am currently adding all the census info, which I would imagine would, amount to a few thousand entries, I use the gedcom census programme to add the information, and then link the census image to each census source. My question is, Is there a limit to the amount of data Historian can hold, I don't want to get so far and then not be able to continue. Any views would be helpful.

As author of Gedcom Census I had one person complain that an error occurred with the previous version when they tried to add a census record to their tree. They had over 30,000 individuals in it! The latest version of Gedcom Census can handle this. I assume therefore that Family Historian must have been happily dealing with the file too.
