Hi all,
Does anybody know of a good web site that would define some terms that a friend of mine has transcribed for me form a will. The terms are messugges, tenements & hereditment and the will is from 1807.
Thanks

Legal terms in wills
I have met these in my research and I have established:
Messuage = property but also includes any outbuildings, gardens etc.
Tenement = any property or land that is held by a tenant
Hereditaments = anything that can be inherited.
Hope that helps
