Hi all,
Just started my family tree and have rapidly entered a lot of info from living relatives. I now want to chase various threads, but would like to do so in an organised manner... ie, I'd like a TODO list.
I figured that if I added a Note to each person starting with the text 'TODO:', I could generate a query to list all TODO notes...
There are two problems... firstly, multiple notes create multiple notes objects and I've yet to figure out how to query across all available notes... for now I ensure that the TODO note is the first note for an individual.
Secondly, the report generator only shows one row of text per result, and some TODO notes cover many lines... therefore the results are truncated and not very useful.
Is there anyway to get the query generator to display the full contents of a multi-line note?
What are others doing to manage their 'TODO' list?
Many thanks,
Mark

Generating a TODO list from Notes
1. Get the 2.1 Update if you do not already have it.
2. Take a look at the Lists function.
This allows you to build lists of people and sources, families and add a note to each one of what you need to do.
So for example I have a list called FreeBmd of look ups to do, a list of 'maybe' matches to check or order
a list of people for whom I have information on order
etc etc.
