It would be good if you could add user defined tags.
Yes, I know you can add user defined attributes and events, but not Tags, at least if you can I have not managed to find it.

Why and where do I want it, well, Joe Bloggs appears on the 1881 Census, so I add a Census Event, I am then given the option to add a date, address, even a telephone and email address and web site, but can I add a Reference ? ie. RG12/1234 folio 66, no.
I can add it in the address field, or as a Type, or even a note. I want to avoid text notes as I turn that off on my ged2html for web site publication for obvious reasons.
So, please, either the ability to add a tag, or a REFN sub tag on the options under Census events.

Why don't you enter RG12/1234 etc. as a source or, depending on how you use sources, as an an entry in 'where within source'?

Hi,
Thanks for your imput, and Yes, I have several options available, including notes, which as I said, I would rather not use, I would prefer a tag, that would not be stripped out as unwanted notes field in conversion to html (For privacy).
It would be very nice if the option 'Reference' appeared on the right click menu, perhaps more useful than a email address or telephone Tag for a Census event maybe :-)
At the moment, I enter the reference under the Type option. Which works ok, but then this information is put in front of the 'PLAC' tag in conversion to html. If we had the option to insert a 'REFN' , it would in all probability, go in its correct place after the PLAC tag. A minor point to some, but very important to me, and probably an easy one for Simon to implement.
I do realise that it will be down the list of priorities, but this is a wish list, and I have just added one from me.
I know I can very easily do this with UltraEdit, which I use frequently for this sort of thing, But anyway, another one for the wish list.
