I would like to add the following condition in a text template line:

Output the place of birth if it exists otherwise output the place of baptism.

What conditional {if...} statements do I use?

Furthermore, where are the conditional statements documented other than the brief mention (on page 71) in the User Manual?

This is not currently possible, but it is on the Wish List

As far as I know all conditional statements are currently detailed where you have already looked so just
male, female,spouses,duplicates

The last two being dependant on duplicate and spouse boxes being shown.

Can someone tell me how to show the date and place of christening and burial as well as the dates of birth marriage and death?

Don't worry - I found the answer by using search. It took me a while to get the hang of it but it is working now.
