Merge individuals within ged.com

I can't find this elsewhere on the Wish list. It would be very useful to be able to compare and merge two individuals within one's tree, when you find out they are one and the same person. The only way I can find to do it is to split one (with his offspring) off to another tree, and then compare and merge the two trees. Am I missing something simpler?

Select Merge/Compare Records from the View menu.

Make sure you have version 2.3, this function came in in 2.2 I think.
