Custom event or attribute( Being Mayor)

One of my ancestors had the priveledge of being mayor and I am trying to construct a custom atribute that will say something like 'He was Mayor of X from 19XX to 19XY'

He was also a magistrate and I want something similar to say 'he was a magistrate from 19xx to 19xy.'

Any sugestions gratefully received

I could use the Hobby custom event and say his Hobby was local affairs or Politics and then use the notes and simply type in bits in quotes but is there a better way

Custom Sentances are not yet possible in 2.3, have I have done for my own custom events is to change the sentance structure to
{label} {date} {place}

Which for your example would produce
Mayor 1901 to 1910 Home Town

There is an item on the wish list already to allow sentances to be customised for each custom event, attribute.

Any Idea when the next upgrade might be made available? My current version says 2.3.5 is that the latest?

2.3.5 is the latest, its also the first to have the narrative report.

No idea on time scales I am afraid.
