Further to my last posting, I'm afraid I'm still having problems with half-siblings. I have linked them all within family groups, however when I choose diagram for any of the children from the first relationship this does not show any of the half siblings from their mothers second relationship. In addition diagrams for any children of these children does not show them as uncles/aunts. I have tried everything however cannot seem to find a way around it. Please help !
Thanks
steve.

You can get around the problem for the first family children, by changing the sequence of parent families so that the second family comes first. In the records window open the child, click on the Words 'Parents Family' then click the little curved up arrow at the top to change the sequence so the second family is first. Hope this makes sense. This makes the second relationship the primary relationship.
Please let me know how you get on.

Half-siblings
Thanks for the help so far. I have done as suggested, however all that shows on the diagram now is just the half-brother from the second relationship, and none of the full brothers and sisters from the mothers first marriage !
There must be a way round this as a similar diagram is shown in ch 4 of the user manual (fig 6)
Steve.

I example shown in Chapter 4 is the 'All Relatives' diagram. Haev you tried this with the family in question? It shouldd work. Mind it will also depend on the focus person that you have set

Half-siblings
Eureka, I have discovered the answer after (much) experimenting. The diagram would appear to only show half-siblings if the parent of the half-siblings has a record created for atleast one parent. This is also the same for showing siblings of the earliest ancestor known. I have had to creat a record using blank details for this. Does anyone know if there is a reason for this or is it a bug in the program?
Steve.
P.S. for this and all previous questions I have been using the all relatives diagram.
