Married cousins diagram question
I have an ancestor who had a child with no Father stated on the birth certificate. The said child then went on to marry his Mother's niece (childs cousin). This means that both child and wife share the same Grandparents.
When I try to do a diagram of the ancestors of the child and wife, I get a doubling up of ancestors.
If I close down Mother's line it leaves her in mid air so to speak and won't link her with her parents.
What am I doing wrong please??
Regards

Nothing.
FH is doing as designed. What I do is to use a title box above the 'closed' line to explain where the parents are shown.

Ah, right. I will give that a go then.
Do FH plan to make any alterations to the diagrams that would tie up the cousins neatly to their common Grandparents?

Like Sue, I would welcome the means to link married cousins back to their common ancestor on diagrams.

If you want this, why not vote for 'Improved method of handling 'repeated' family groups on Diagrams' on the Wish List - it only has 14 votes at present.

I have a similar problem arising out of the marriage between an ancestor and his great niece.
It seems that I should vote for 'Improved method of handling 'repeated' family groups on Diagrams'.
I may be being stupid but I am a newcomer to the group and for the life of me I can't find this.
Can someone help by pointing me in the right direction ?
