Example - I search for Florence McDonald in Mile End Old Town on the 1901 census site and it will give me the ancestor I am looking for. However, I do a search for Florence McDonald on ancestry.co.uk and she doesn't appear at all. Is the data for the two sites different? Does this mean I will have to look on both sites all the time.
Thanks

The actual pages are the same, but the transcriptions are different, this is actually an advantage as you can some times find people on one site, not listed on the other.

I also find that having different search algorithms on the two sites is very useful. Further, since FreeBMD has improved its servers, life is great!
