Stepchildren

Post by marklydarkly » 15 Feb 2005 12:57

Problem - I think. My wife has two children - thus my step children and I have put them in as her children (with her first husband). If I do a diagram of all relatives they don't appear. Does this mean I have to put them in twice, firstly as her children and secondly as my step children, in order for them to appear on 'my' family tree diagrams?

No, simply add them to your family as step children, by adding an existing child to your family and selecting them.

OR

If you center a chart on yourself and your wife as a couple the children will appear even if you do not do this under the family group they were born into.

What are you confused by, just select the couple and hit the diagram button.
